On the evening of the 12th, the China Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo won the Gold Award in the Exhibition Category of Large Self-built Pavilions at the World Expo awarded by the Bureau of International Expositions at the World Expo Awards Ceremony.
This is the first time that China has won a gold medal at a comprehensive overseas World Expo. It is also the fifth consecutive time that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has won an important World Expo award since it organized the China Pavilion to participate in overseas World Expos on behalf of the Chinese government in 1982.

Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Li Qingshuang, Vice President and Chief Government Representative of the China Pavilion, attended the award ceremony. The CCPIT organized the China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo on behalf of the Chinese government.
The awards presented at this World Expo were jointly judged by the Expo organizers and nine international experts from the fields of architecture, exhibitions, and art. Awards were given in three categories: display, architecture, and theme interpretation, and were based on factors such as the size of the pavilion. The Large Self-Constructed Pavilion Award has always been the most competitive, most anticipated, and most valuable award at all World Expos.

A total of 158 countries and regions, as well as seven international organizations, participated in this World Expo . The China Pavilion, standing out from competition with 25 large-scale self-built pavilions, won the Gold Award in the Exhibition Category. The Saudi Arabian Pavilion and the Italian Pavilion received Gold Awards in the Architecture and Theme Interpretation categories, respectively.
The China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo covers an area of approximately 3,500 square meters and is one of the largest foreign-built pavilions at this Expo. With the theme of "Jointly Building a Community of Life between Man and Nature - a Future Society of Green Development", it takes "Harmony between Man and Nature", "Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains", and "Endless Life" as the main narrative lines, showcasing the traditional ecological wisdom nurtured by 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, the concepts and achievements of green development in the new era, and looking forward to the beautiful vision of China working together with other countries in the world to jointly build a community of life between man and nature.

Secretary General of the Bureau of International Expositions, Kerkenzies, commented that the China Pavilion is closely linked to the theme of the Expo, allowing visitors not only to experience China's thousands of years of history and culture, but also to demonstrate China's outstanding development plans and responsibilities for the future society.
