- "Ode to the Sound of Autumn" is a prose work by Ouyang Xiu, a writer of the Song Dynasty of China. This fu was written in the autumn of the fourth year of Jiayou (1059) during the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty. Ouyang Xiu was 53 years old at the time. Although he was in a high position, he felt the ups and downs of the officialdom and the difficulties of political reform, so he was depressed. He took "sad autumn" as the theme to express the depression and sigh of life.
